Classroom Connector Information
Thank you for your interest in being a Classroom Connector for the 2025–26 school year!
A Classroom Connector - also known as a Room Parent - is a volunteer parent who serves as a bridge between the teacher and classroom families. Connectors help organize classroom events, coordinate volunteers, share important information, and support fundraising for supplies or teacher gifts. While responsibilities may vary by teacher and grade level, connectors play a key role in lightening the teacher’s workload by managing tasks such as planning parties, coordinating donations, and promoting school activities.
This year’s planned responsibilities for Classroom Connectors include:
-
Collecting contributions from parents for the classroom fund. (In 5th grade, connectors also help collect a separate fund for the 5th Grade Promotion event.)
-
Planning and organizing three classroom parties:
-
Harvest Party (November)
-
Friendship Party (February)
-
End-of-Year Party (June)
-
-
Collaborating with fellow connectors to host a luncheon for the entire school’s staff and teachers.
-
Assisting the PTSA to coordinate Staff Appreciation activities for your teacher.
-
Purchasing thoughtful teacher gifts for birthdays, the winter holiday season, and Staff Appreciation Week.
By signing up as a Classroom Connector, you are making a meaningful difference for your teacher and students. The PTSA is here to support you every step of the way - providing resources, guidance, and experienced connectors to help you along your journey.
Once you sign up, the PTSA will provide you with detailed information and a step-by-step guide to set you up for success as a Classroom Connector.
We’re so grateful for your willingness to help build community, support our teachers, and make the school year extra special for our kids!
