2026 Science Fair Project Poster Board Registration Information

Science Fair Project Registration Requirements
The following requirements must be met in order to register your project:
1) The tri-fold poster board must be 36" x 48" or smaller.
2) Any props for display or demonstrations must fit entirely in front of the poster board.
3) Props may not be flammable, liquid, or dangerous (e.g., sharp objects, gases, or materials that are extremely hot or cold).
Poster Board Content Requirements
To qualify for a Certificate of Participation and a medal, the poster board must include the following sections:

Title – A clear and descriptive title of your project.

Student Name – The name of the student who created the project, displayed immediately under the title.

Project Summary/Abstract – A brief overview explaining what the project is about.

Research Question – The specific question that led to the project.
-
Hypothesis – Your prediction or educated guess related to the question.

Materials and Methods – A list of materials and experimental methods used to conduct the experiment(s).
-
Results – The data and findings from the experiment(s).
-
Conclusion – What you learned from your experiment(s) and whether your hypothesis was supported by the results.
-
Real-Life Application – An explanation of how your project can be applied in real-world situations.
