Welcome back from the Alcott PTSA!

As summer comes to an end, we hope your family enjoyed a wonderful break filled with sunshine, adventures, and special memories. Now, the new school year is just around the corner, and with it comes a wave of anticipation, excitement, and maybe even a few butterflies in our kids’ tummies.

The PTSA is here for you every step of the way - supporting our school, guiding families with important information, and most importantly, enriching the school experience for all of our children. We are thrilled for the year ahead and can’t wait to share the many programs, events, and activities we have planned to make this school year extra special.

To stay connected and make sure you don’t miss out on the latest updates, weekly newsletters, and all the fun happenings, please register with the PTSA. Registration is completely free, and it’s the best way to keep up with everything we’ve planned for our kids. Just click the link below to get started! If you are already registered, please don't forget to update your student's teacher.

Here’s to an amazing school year - we’re so excited to share it with you and your family!

Alcott Open House Meet & Greet

Alcott's Open House Meet & Greet is on Thursday, August 28th between 2:45pm - 3:30 pm.

You are invited to stop by the school with your child to meet teachers & staff. Feel free to bring student school supplies at that time to leave in the classroom.

Due to parking and space limitations, we ask that only 1-2 family members join students for the visit. Be green and carpool as well!

This is an optional event. Please do not worry if you are unable to attend.

Be sure to stop by the PTSA table to get more information about the school and the PTSA. We will have light snacks for the kids.

Five Reasons to Become a PTSA Member

Why you ask? Here are 5 reasons to become a member.

And no, being a member does not mean to sign up to volunteer. Those are two separate things.

#1 Support our children
  • Children perform better when parents are engaged in their community!
  • Membership dues, ideas and feedback improve opportunities for all students.
#2 Strength in numbers
  • Your membership connects your family, our school and our community to a nationwide network of PTA members, who share resources, opportunities and tips to support all children.
  • Every additional membership helps fund essential school resources and curriculum needs.
#3 Create Connections
  • Develop powerful relationships with teachers and staff while making life-long friends with other parents!
  • Make connections with people who have the same passion for the health and welfare of all children.
#4 You Benefit
  • Further grow as a parent and strengthen our community through education and awareness.
  • You will be informed about important topics relevant to you and your family.
  • Take advantage of discounts offered through Washington State PTSA and National PTA.
#5 Amplify Your Voice
  • Have a voice in decisions that affect you, your child, and all children by giving your feedback on education policy the collective bargaining power of not just our own PTA members, but millions of PTA members nationwide.
